This morning we had free, so Julia and I went to the Duomo and then explored the surrounding areas so we could shop and get some souvenirs in Milan. We first went to Kiko, a makeup store similar to
Sephora but much more affordable. I got two lipsticks, two nail polishes and a highlighter stick all for
under $20. From there we looked at clothing stores like Mango and other smaller boutiques in the area. I picked up a white crop-top with billow sleeves here as well, which I plan on wearing later this week.
After shopping and realizing we were running late Julia and I booked it to the train and made it to our
meet-up location with 5 minutes to spare. We grabbed personal pizza at a cute café close by, and ate
that while we waited for the rest of the group.
We then went to Studio de Lucchi, home to world famous designers and architects. Here we learned
about their architectural design process, things they have made and projects they have completed. They complete architectural work, graphic design and product design.
We also had to catch the train to Florence so we made our way to the train station once we finished at
Studio de Lucchi and grabbed some dinner on the go.
My best friend from home is studying abroad in Florence this semester so I can’t wait to be able to see
him later tonight!
