Shopping is my guilty pleasure, especially when I visit a new place. Naturally, on my trip to Louisville I HAD to go shopping and pick up some new pieces for the summer. Let me just say, today was quite the success. Becca and I traveled to the Outlet Shoppes of the Bluegrass, where she works, and explored the stores to treat ourselves to a few nice things.
First we stopped at Saks Off 5th, and Becca picked out her graduation dress! I tried on a few things as well, and ended up buying this adorable, bohemian shirt for under $18. I can't wait to pair this with some cropped pants and sandals this summer.
Next, we headed over to Francesca's, one of my favorites. They were having a great sale going on, where everything was buy one get one free except for clearance, which was buy one get one for $5. Becca and I went half and half on both. I got this striped watch, and this peach tunic-top for about $25. I am really excited about this watch, which reminds me of the Daniel Wellington one I've been admiring for awhile now. The only difference is that this one was significantly cheaper. Here's to look-a-likes!
J. Crew was next on our list, I had a gift card I hadn't used from Christmas yet and I was excited to finally use it. I ended up picking up both this off-white skirt, (I now am the proud owner of this skirt in 4 colors), and similar shorts. I also snapped up this striped blue tank top off the sale rack. All together I spent about $65.
Then we headed over to Gap, where I scooped up this nautically striped dress (just realizing now how many striped clothes I bought today.. oops). It only cost about $16, which is a steal considering I have been looking for a dress like this for a bit now.
Lastly, we went to the Kate Spade store. Check out this adorable quote that was on the wall! I made out super great here. I ordered a dress through the store, because they didn't have my size. I also got this beautiful, hot pink, scalloped bag. I got these cute navy studs as well, and a secret belated Mother's Day gift for my mom (Sorry mom, no spoilers here!). Overall, my second to last day of my trip to Louisville was super productive and rewarding!
Oh! One more thing, Becca and I stopped at the grocery store on the way back to her apartment for some discounted Derby gear. Now that most tourists have left town, the souvenirs dropped in price greatly. I got this cute tee for only $10!
Hope your day was as great as mine was!
