Hey party people!

Today I wanted to share one of my favorite day trips from this summer, St. Petersburg, Florida! I love day trips, you can really learn so much about a place and explore a lot in just 24 hours. They can be just as fun as a vacation, (without breaking the bank) and allow you to find more about an area you are close in location to.

My parents live about 45 minutes away from St. Pete, and hadn't been before...

Hey there!

Happy Tuesday! I'm excited to share that I now will begin posting every Tuesday and Friday, with the occasional extra post here and there. Now that I've graduated I have a lot more free time to get settled into a true schedule on C'est La Vie. Since I'll be more consistent with my posts, I need your help!! What are some things you would like to see posts about? Is there any topic that particularly interests you? Lea...

Hey there!

One question I get a lot is, how do you pack without over packing? Well, the truth is I over pack for almost every trip I take, but I like to think of it as smart over packing. I also refuse to check bags unless I absolutely need to, and you’d be surprised what you are able to fit in just a carry-on and personal item!

For my week-long trip to Florida, I was able to fit everything into my houndstooth printed carry-on (...

Guten Tag!

I haven't been able to write for a while, so I thought I'd finally fill you in on my final trip of my euro-adventure, Vienna! I had a great time thanks to my awesome friend Kathi, who was an exchange student from my high school.

So here are my five favorites from Vienna!

1. Schönbrunn Palace

We went here one night and got to check out the Christmas Market that was in front of the palace. Vienna is known for its many Ch...

This weekend my adventure was to Copenhagen, Denmark! I had a wonderful time exploring the city even with some rain. Believe it or not, I actually missed the cold (shocking I know,) so it was nice being all bundled up in a scarf and hat. During the day it wasn't too chilly but with the sun setting at 4:15ish, it got cold pretty quickly.

Anyway, I got to Copenhagen with Emily at around 8:00 Thursday evening. From there...

I almost didn't make it there, but I had a fun weekend in Barcelona. After stupidly forgetting my passport on my way to the airport and having to go back and get it,  I barely was able to board my flight and arrived in Barcelona Thursday night.

We went to a club called Bling Bling, which was packed, but a ton of fun. On Friday, we walked around the city and the beach! The beach we went to was actually manm...

Bom Dia!

This weekend I was lucky enough to be able to visit my cousins and Tía in Portugal. My mom's side of the family comes from Portugal, and I am super proud of my Portuguese heritage. My grandmother immigrated to the U.S. after she met my grandfather, and my great grandma and the rest of her children immigrated shortly after. I have grown up listening to Portuguese, (still slightly mad they never taught me to speak it!!)...

Sorry for the corniest title in the world, but I couldn't resist. Paris was more than I could have ever imagined. On Friday, I flew into Beauvais–Tillé Airport close to Paris. I met up with some friends of mine, and hopped on a bus to Paris.

We spent the day walking around and exploring the city, 10 miles of walking in total!! We headed to the Arc de Triomphe to start, and snapped some pics while admiring its beau...

Oktoberfest was one crazy experience! This past weekend I spent drinking steins of delicious beers, and munching on salty, giant pretzels and half-meter long bratwurst. Oktoberfest is a yearly month-long event (in September believe it or not,) in Munich, Germany. The event is a festival with rides, hundreds of food options, and most importantly, fourteen beer tents.

These tents each have a unique characteristic that draws tour...

This past weekend was nothing short of a dream! On thursday afternoon, Emily, Charlie, Chris and I hopped on a plane to Rome to meet up with around fifty of our classmates and head to a tropical getaway on the Amalfi Coast. Although we had just a few hours in Rome, we were determined to make the most of it! We ended up grabbing a bite to eat, and then visiting the Colosseum and the Trevi Fountain to make a wish or two. On...
